Dr. Pete Carter, MBChB

Pete Carter is one of the senior leaders at Eastgate, a church in Kent, UK. He is also a medical doctor and has a particular passion to see the word of medicine affected by the power and love of God, and for Christian healing to sit alongside good medicine for the sake or any who choose to benefit from it. Along with others, he founded the Healing Centre at Eastgate in 2011. Since then, thousands have experienced the presence and peace of God in a joyful environment, and many miraculous healings have occurred. Towards the end of 2018, the Healing Centre was acknowledged by local doctors as a Complementary Service which could be recommended to patients. In recent years, together with a great team, he has been busy developing Heaven in Healthcare, a charity which provides support and resources to help Christians involved in all aspects of healthcare to access and manifest the fullness of heaven in their cities and contexts.

Pete is the author of Unwrapping Lazarus, an inspirational book subtitled, "Free to live as God Intended" and his more recent book, "Faith, explores how we discover and use the resources of Heaven". His heart is to see the full potential of Christianity realized through our daily lives. He spends his time developing the people of Eastgate, pursuing healing, and helping other churches and ministries to grow leadership structures that reflect a heavenly model.

Abby Sinnett, MS, WHNP, COO

Abby is the Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer for Bella Health + Wellness. She graduated from the University of Colorado with her Masters in Science. She is a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Regis University, Abby worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Swedish Hospital. In 2013, Abby completed the Nurse Practitioner Medical Consultant training through the Pope Paul IV Institute. She is a gifted NaPRO Technologies provider.

Abby’s passion for preserving the dignity of women started long before her career in medicine.  She has been involved in youth and young adult ministry since high school.  Abby served for a year as a missionary with the National Evangelization Teams (NET Ministries) and has spoken at conferences throughout the country to young women affirming their beauty and dignity.  As a teenager, Abby had the opportunity to see the birth of a baby where she “felt as if angels were dancing around the room.”   She was drawn to the way the medical team worked in cooperation with the woman and family.  One of these team members was her mom, Dede.  She knew that one day she would be a part of that team.

Abby and her husband Justin are missionaries at heart and continue to serve on medical missions in Ayaviri, Peru.  Not only does her work and ministry life focus on women’s issues, but Abby and her husband have four daughters: Olivia, Madelynn, Mary Belle, and Francesca.  Abby is blessed among women! Abby enjoys camping, swimming, skiing and being surrounded by the ones she loves.

Worship

Each day will begin with extended worship sets by Encounter Worship.

Worship can be described as the valuing of God and the outward expression of loving Him above all things. Here at Encounter, one way we value and treasure God is by worshiping him in song and music free of a performance mentality with a child-like joy.
