This school is geared to renew your mind, increase your intimacy with the Father, and prepare you to minister out of your supernatural inheritance in Christ!
Fr. Peter Wigton grew up in Cedar, Michigan. After completing his studies at Franciscan University in 2005, he joined the Friars Minor of Mary Immaculate and studied in Rome. In 2008 he returned Stateside to study for the Diocese of Gaylord, Michigan and was ordained to the priesthood in 2012. He is currently the pastor of St. Mary Parish in Charlevoix and of Holy Cross Parish on Beaver Island. Beginning in December of 2018, Fr. Peter began his journey with Encounter Ministries seeking to embrace a fuller life of the Gospel and in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. After participating in the Encounter School of Ministry, the Lord has led him to bring this ministry to Northern Michigan. He is now one of the teachers and the chaplain for Encounter Charlevoix, which is in its second year as a satellite campus.
Sarah is the Director of Pastoral Ministry at Encounter Ministries and the Main Campus Director of the Encounter School of Ministry. She holds an MA in counseling and has served in ministry for over 20 years. Before her time at Encounter, she served in a parish as the director of evangelization and youth ministry and the Associate Director of Alpha Catholic. Her deepest desire is for everyone to know the love of the Father and walk in the holiness and wholeness Jesus paid for.
